Meet the Co-Founders

From a young age, the Cantal sisters knew that they wanted to work with kids and in healthcare. Their difference - Dr. Donna had an interest in improving the quality of movement of the human body while Dr. Alyssa focused on improving the quality of participation in a person's daily functional tasks. Consequently, they pursued their doctorates in differing fields, with Dr. Donna in physical therapy and Dr. Alyssa in occupational therapy. While they chose different career paths, they are united in their pursuit of treating the whole child through a multidisciplinary approach.

In pursuit of the “American Dream,” Dr. Alyssa and Dr. Donna’s parents ran a husband-wife venture after immigrating from the Philippines. They proved that a family business can foster a nurturing environment in collaboration with people you trust and care about. Dr. Alyssa and Dr. Donna endeavored to create a business founded under the same principles. After getting their own experiences working in various medical settings and thriving in each area, they finally set out to establish DAP therapy. 

DAP therapy is family owned and believes in treating families like family.
